All of our stone carvings are hand crafted in, you guessed it, Kenya. The stone is known as "Kisii stone", named after the Kisii tribe of the Tabaka Hills in Western Kenya. During no time is a machine used in the process of KuKu Hut's product formation which ensures that each piece has it's own unique, hand crafted appeal. A panga (large knife) is used in the initial carving stage followed by the use of a kisu (small knife) to give each piece those fine lines and details which make it come to life. The stone is washed, polished, glazed, loved, and painted before it is ready for shipping. Stay tuned for upcoming video's showing how it's all done.On special feature for our grand opening season is the 14" x 14" square stone
